Picture a group of 2-year-olds dancing with colorful ribbons as they learn about moving "slow" and "fast." Or a team of 4-year-olds constructing a giant dragon out of plaster and paint. Or three-year-olds holding hands with a partner as they try to balancing low to the ground or high on their toes.
These and other creative activities take place each week in CES's innovative multi-arts program, called Arts Adventures. Each week, teachers and the Arts Educator work together to develop a new Adventure that explores current classroom themes and goals through the arts, including visual art, music, creative drama, and creative movements/dance. The Arts Adventure program is a much anticipated and loved part of each child's week. It enriches their learning and plays an important role in professional and curriculum development for the staff.
